First-Use and Seasoning Instructions
Season your cast iron pan before its first use:
- Wash the pan using hot, soapy water.
- Coat the inside surface with vegetable oil.
- Bake in the oven for one hour at 350°F / 175°C.
- Let cool and wipe off excess oil.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Scrub with very hot water and dry completely. Re-season if soap is used.
- Storage: Apply a light coating of oil to the inside surface before storing.
