Description

A Heritage Tool for Traditional Baking

The Swallings Krumkake Cone Roller (SKU: SW109) is a traditional tool for crafting authentic Scandinavian krumkake. This simple utensil allows you to roll warm, pliable wafers into a perfect cone, ready for your favorite fillings. Its design is based on generations of baking tradition, ensuring an authentic result.

Construction and Materials

Crafted from a single piece of solid, natural wood, this cone roller is built for simplicity and longevity. The smooth-sanded surface helps prevent sticking, and the food-safe wood won't impart any flavor to your cookies.

  • Material: Natural, unfinished solid wood
  • Finish: Smooth-sanded for easy release of cookies

Detailed Dimensions

The roller's dimensions create a standard-sized krumkake cone ideal for various fillings. The handle provides a secure grip while shaping hot wafers.

  • Total Length: 7 inches (17.78 cm)
  • Cone Length: 4.5 inches (11.43 cm)
  • Cone Base Diameter: 1.5 inches (3.81 cm)
  • Handle Length: 2.5 inches (6.35 cm)

Use and Care Instructions

To use, place a hot krumkake wafer on a clean surface and immediately roll it around the form, starting from the pointed tip. Hold for a few seconds until the cookie sets its shape, then gently slide the cone off to cool completely.

  • Cleaning: Hand wash only with a soft cloth, mild soap, and warm water.
  • Drying: Towel dry immediately and allow to air dry completely before storing.
  • Maintenance: Avoid soaking the roller or washing it in a dishwasher. A periodic application of food-safe mineral oil will help maintain the wood.

    Wooden Krumkake Cone Roller

Posted by Jackie W. on Feb 23rd 2026

I bought this after we made our krumkakes for the holidays so we haven’t used it yet. It’s very well made and looks like it will be helpful for rolling out the hot dough without burning our fingers. Can’t wait to try it!

    Keep them coming - Krumkaker

    Posted by Gram-Gram on Dec 5th 2019

I have a electric krumkaker iron now but only 1 wood cone. To keep the assembly line going when making I need more cones. Also bought and extra since they are not easy to find. Thank you for carry such a small but important item. I have also used cannoli tubes when making a lot to send but prefer the authentic cone shape.
