The Ekelund Julia Placemat celebrates modern Scandinavian design. Designed by Veronica Seipel Vejsholt and produced in Sweden, each 14" x 19" (35 cm x 48 cm) placemat is crafted from 100% organic cotton. It is sold as a single placemat, allowing you to customize the number for your dining set.
The charming pattern isn't printed; it's woven directly into the fabric using a traditional jacquard technique. This method ensures a rich, durable texture that won't fade or peel. The placemat has a high-quality feel that is soft and flexible, lying flat on your table while folding easily for storage.
Care & Durability
- Washing: Machine washable on a gentle cycle with cool or warm water.
- Drying & Shrinkage: For best results, lay flat or hang to dry. Tumble dry on low is also an option. Shrinkage is minimal, typically under 5%.
- Ironing: Iron on a cotton setting for a crisp finish, or lay flat to dry for a more relaxed look.
- Color & Stains: The cotton is yarn-dyed for lasting, fade-resistant color. As a natural textile, it is absorbent; blot spills promptly.
