The Legend of the Dala Horse

Dating back to 1716, Swedish soldiers fighting under King Charles XII carved these toy horses as gifts or payment for families hosting them in the Dalarna region. Today, the Dala Horse is the Swedish National toy and a lasting symbol of good luck.

This pewter ornament beautifully captures that historic craft, bringing good luck and heritage to your modern holiday traditions.
