Tartlets - Sandbakkel Tins - Oval - 6 per pkg. Each measures 3" x 2" x 3/4". Made of tinplate. Handwashing is recommended. The Sandbakkel is a classic Scandinavian cookie.
Mor Mor's Scandinavian Sandbakkels
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Egg White
1/3 Cup Blanched Almonds
1 Cup Milk
1 3/4 Cups Flour
3/4 Cup Butter picture
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grind almonds in food processor until very fine.
In a medium bowl mix butter and sugar until creamy.
Mix in egg whites and ground almonds. Stir in flour.
Roll dough into small 1 inch balls and push/press into sandbakel molds/tins.
Place tins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Cool in tins before removing. Loosen by lightly tapping on counter or table.
Cookies may break if removed too soon.
